Special-called meeting for neighbors: Tuesday, May 23, 2017
New retirement village announced for 1447 Antique Dr.

Architect Holly Wiedemann and owner Solly Van Meter

All businesses and neighbors are welcome!
From Facebook post of neighbor Jamie Rodgers after meeting:

No pencil to paper yet, but AU Associates, Inc. gave a presentation about starting the conversation about affordable senior living or better known as “independent affordable retirement village.” AU specializes in applying for tax credits, making rents affordable while providing the world class facilities with waiting list for rentals appropriate to the neighborhood. For Meadowthorpe she envisioned stone or brick taking inspiration from the VA hospital

Holly is one of the most respected developers specializing in adaptive use and infill. She is the current manager of the Historic Courthouse. After the meeting she planned to draw up designs, apply for a down zone change for July (Business to residential), apply for tax credits by the fall, and come back to the neighborhood with information. In a perfect world that would mean construction next fall.
